Grow your Blog party is in full swing!

Party!

Hi, I’m Karen and I’m participating in the very first ‘Grow your Blog’ party that begins today.  Vicki from Two Bags Full is our host.  She has been one busy lady putting this all together.  Thank you Vicki! What a great way to visit like minded bloggers and get to know a bit about them.  Hop on over to her site and see all the links to those of us that have signed up for this special event.

A bit about me.  Well, as my blog name, Knitalatte, implies I’m all about the craft of knitting. I spend much of my free time with needles and yarn.  Honestly, I just can’t seem to get enough of this enjoyable pursuit.  I’ve always got a project or two in the works. I started blogging about knitting after I’d wandered around blog land and visited other knitters who shared this same passion.  Exploring blogs out there is so much fun and I’ve met some amazing people because of it.

If you are a knitting enthusiast and want to see what I’m up to, stop on by anytime and leave a comment and I’ll stop on by your blog to do the same. Or send me an e-mail; kace520atyahoodotcom.

Well it wouldn’t be much of a party with out goodies, so I’ve having a giveaway…

I’ve knitted up this little hat in my favorite yarn, Madelinetosh and it will be sent to the winner. All you need to do is leave a comment to enter. Good Luck and thanks for visiting Knitalatte!

  5. That hat is lovely! Knitting is been on my bucket list. I tried once when I was in grad school and enjoyed it but never gave it enough time to get good. You have officially inspired me to try again.

Happy to meet you via the Blog Party!

  15. Wow, Karen, your knitting looks lovely! Your Hitchhiker reminds me of something, but I can't out my finger on it...maybe an illustrated children's story that featured white cupcakes with pale pink icing...something just at the edge of my memory. Something nice, anyway! And I scrolled through a couple of posts til I gasped at the sight of your yarn basket...great colors! How could I not follow a blog with such great knitting and yarn??

I also loved the picture of you and your husband. You two look so happy it made me smile, too :)

  17. What beautiful knitting and images you have! Gorgeous hat! I love hand knitted items, and the beautiful wool/yarns you can get is amazing and beautiful. I used to knit quite a bit, but don't often anymore, although my teenage daughter decided to do some knitting last week, after years of not knitting. I love watching her knit. I enjoyed visiting your blog, and thanks for visiting mine.

  21. Hello Karen! Love your blog, although I'm not a knitter and would be knitting Dutch Cheese Scarfs all over the place if I tried (childhood nightmares with yarn everywhere but on the needles...). Love the way you photograph as well. Your hat is so gorgeous and cute that I'd like to give it a try in this give away. New follower to your blog!

Hugs and thank you for visiting me,

  24. Hi there and thanks for visiting my blog via the GYBP. I knit but not as regularly as you do. However, when I finish my current free range knitting scarf, I'm thinking of making a pink scarf for Vicki's Pink Scarf Project. In the meantime, I'll keep watching your projects on the blog. And if I'm lucky enough to win the free drawing, I'd really like the pattern for the hat to give to a friend. He has a hat that is wearing out and wants to knit a new one.

  26. Your little hat is gorgeous! Knitting is one of those things that I've attempted...several times...but just felt like I was 6 fingers short. I've decided to stick with my fabric art and mixed media and enjoy the knitting of people like you, who are SO GOOD at it!!!

You've done some beautiful knitting, I love the variegated pink scarf

  41. Hello Karen, your blog header is so inspiring with all those yummy yarns and colors. I am a very basic knitter myself - scarves, socks, and at the moment I knit for my daughter's dolls. However, a yarn shop is a very dangerous place for me, I love yarn and all the beautiful colors, oh my!! I guess if I would take the time I probably could knit way more than just what I do, but it really is a lack of time since I also enjoy so many other things, But I will follow you here, I'm pretty sure I can find some more inspiration here.

  42. What a wonderful giveaway! Your blog is a feast for the eye - just beautiful! Thank you for visiting me!

  43. Hello! I had to drop by after you were so sweet to not only drop by BUT become a follower! I so appreciate both!! And I feel that the gesture needed to be returned because that is what we bloggers do... support one another! Besides, I have knitted since 6th grade and have always enjoyed the rhythm of the needles and yarn silently working away. However, I have stopped within the past year as my arthritis is acting up in my thumb. It doesn't help that I hold both very tightly! Loved the joy in your blog... the colors in your banner are delightful!!

  44. What a wonderful blog. I'm so glad you stopped over to see mine. Your visit let me know that you're here so over I came. I love to knit as well and as soon as I post this comment, I'll be your newest follower. I'm looking forward to getting to know you. Oh! Yes! Please enter me in your giveaway. I would love the hat. Love the colors in it. Thank you for the opportunity.

  46. I love your knitting creations. I knit all the time when my kids were younger - knitting away during soccer, basketball, softball, tennis practices. I stopped for a few years (arthritis), but picked it back up a few years ago and it doesn't bother my hands. I mostly make baby sweaters. My kids get nervous thinking I am pushing them to have kids, but since neither is married, we are in no rush. It just seems like all my friends are becoming grannies and my colleagues are having babies.

I look forward to seeing more of your projects.
