On the Book-shelf

My 2011 Reading List.
I love having reading to look forward to, it is the best!
I read in bed, so when its time to retire, I crawl in between the cool white sheets, fluff up my pillows just so and pick up my book and glasses from the nightstand, ready to get lost in the pages.
The Whistling Season by Ivan Doig
My Book club is reading this one
Cranford by Elizabeth Gaskell
The movie was so good, I must read the book
The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton
          Just because
The Bronze Horseman by Paullina Simons
          Gift
Breaking Dawn by Stephanie Meyer
Well, I’ve read the first 3, so why not?
The Help by Kathryn Stockett
          Gift

Can't wait!

  1. My reading time is after I crawl between the sheets too. I'm normally blind as a bat but when I read in bed I do it with my glasses off. Looks like you have some good choices for this year.

  2. I'm almost 1/2 way thru Whistling Season and I just love it! Such rich descriptions of every day life and well developed characters. A must read!

  3. Thank you for visiting my blog and reassuring me that the effort will be worth it!

I loved watching Cranford on TV and also bought the book; they amalgamated a lot of the characters and scenes so it's a delight to read as there's more of it!

Every book by Kate Morton has been wonderful- I am planning to read her new one. I have heard great things about The Whistling Season- so let me know.

    Happy Reading!
