...Ravellenic Games 2012 have begun

Its official, I’m participating in the Ravellenic games this year. I’ve joined up with the Yarning for You team and signed up for the ‘cowl jump’ event.  I’m making the Honey Cowl, Pattern and yarn are both by Madelinetosh.  I’ve chosen the Vanilla Bean colorway in the dk weight superwash merino wool. (Soo soft! I cast on last evening while watching the opening ceremonies of the 2012 games in London. I'm one happy knitter...

Flag fun

Send out a 911 call for Knitted Flags and we Knitters will answer!
Yarning for You, our LYS did just that, calling on all local knitters to go thru our stash, make up some flags and hand over by the end of July.  Well, I can do that!  Takes about 40 yards to complete one.  Great timing for this request, as I had just bagged up a bunch of left over stash and was taking it out to the garage.

What a great break  from the never-ending Color Affection shawl I’m still working on.
As the rows grow longer in length and time, I’m knitting fewer of them.  A slow and steady turtle am I…Progess photo shows the three colors worked together.  I am rather liking the combo...

Mobcap for me

I finished my mobcap and wanted to post a picture of the completed project.
Vicki insisted that I be in the photo, so ok, here I am wearing my mobcap!  I just love knitting with Madeline tosh yarns, so soft and colorful.
