Blue hitchhiker progress

I’ve rounded the halfway mark on my latest Hitchhiker scarf and wanted to comment on how much I’m enjoying working with this beautiful Ricin yarn named Past & Pending by Rainy Days & Wooly Dogs.  It is a mix of merino, bamboo and nylon and boy is it soft!  Perfect for next to the skin type projects. I'm thinking this gorgeous colorway would look great with my p-coat. Should be perfect timing as cooler weather is just around the corner…

GGS - FO

My Giant granny square is officially a finished object, Hooray!
It seems like this project was on the hook forever.  Little did I know, when I joined Le Monde de Sucrette’s CAL, that I’d be staying a while.  All in all, I enjoyed the time invested in this project and it was very easy on the brain. While working on the edge I’d have it on my lap/legs and enjoy the warmth.

Stats;
45 rounds
5 colors of Vanna’s Choice yarn; white, dusty series- green, purple, cream and taupe using a size J hook.
1 round of single crochet prior to adding the Chain stitch loop edging,

I learned how to work the Loop Edging from the tutorial posted on Crochetspot, thank you Robin.

Be sure to check out the other finished Giants over on Flickr,
and a big shout out; Thank you Angie for a great CAL!

♥ Hexipuffs

Have you joined in on the fun yet?
Oh boy, I have, and I’m having such a great time with this latest obsession; Hexipuffs.
Cute little hexigon puffy clouds knitted with sock yarn on double point needles that are destined to become a Bee Keepers Quilt.
Stephanie Dosen of Tiny Owl Knits is responsible for this latest craze in the knit world.
She has designed a fun pattern that has endless possibilities!  It is so well written and easy to follow that I was able to be productive immediately.  If you get a chance, check out the ravely group for lots of photos and inspiration.
I figure that, if I complete a couple a day, I’ll have enough for a blanket in about a year! I love how each little puff is a bit different and yet when combined they blend so well together.
